I had a fantastic update written for you all. I did. And then IJ decided to eat it, so while I work on redoing it all (because apparently, it doesn't save drafts) you may have ( this. )
I wrote this now, but I'm going to leave that picture there for you anyway. Creature Feature is going on tour in 2011, which I'm unbelievably excited about. I tend to live like something of a vagabond. I have several suitcaes in my bedroom, and I pull my clothes out of there. When I do laundry I fold the things and put them in my suitcases. When I go on tour-- and as a fairly small band, we do keep a pretty heavy tour schedule when we aren't working on albums-- I zip my suitcase up and bring it to the van. There's no extensive packing to worry about; I have a list of things like toiletries, books, my computer, other things I want to bring (because without a list I can and will forget at least half of the things I need) but clothes are taken care of.
Christmas was fantastic. I spent it with friends and family, like I did Thanksgiving. Friends early in the day and we had dinner, and then to my parents' house for dessert. It's a setup that works well with variations, like last year I spent almost the whole day with my family and went out to meet friends later in the evening, but I try at least to see both groups of people for a celebratory something-or-other. We had Thanksgiving on the road more than a few times, but one year in particular stands out to me. We stopped at a hotel, ran to the nearest grocery store, and picked up a bunch of random frozen food things to make in the toaster oven. Also we had small cakes, which I can't figure out the motivation for now, but it was late and I was hungry at the time, so it is what it is. It sounds weird, but hanging out in the hotel with Erik, eating tiny cakes and watching a replay of the Macy's parade on TV was one of the better Thanksgivings I can remember, and the rest were all pretty awesome.
